Hey Bill, I'm a bit north of you in Detroit and I have a very similar attitude towards "rivet counting", I like to get it as close as I can but I ain't gonna lose any sleep if I miss a detail here and there. This weekend I'm putting a clark board in a Sherman, but I have the Imex metal Sherman. Should be pretty close to the Heng long, though. I'm also trying to get this Imex KT running like it should, got the idler adjust axle from Henntec and now I'm waiting on the new idler wheels. I should be getting a box today with new idlers for the Stug III I just put the IBU2 in, so as you can see, I've got a full weekend ahead.
Are your tanks IR, airsoft, or a combination of the two? What kind of modifications do you have in mind? Are you planning to upgrade to hobby-grade electronics for any of them? The possibilities there seem to be endless. Here's a little bit of what I did with two Tigers, an Asp and an IBU2.

When FDR coined the phrase "The Arsenal of Democracy", he was talking about Detroit. Proud to live in the 2nd most violent city in America!!

Hi Bill:
Welcome from Lancaster County, Pa.
This is a great site, populated with expert modelers, who are great about sharing their knowledge.
However, one warning. You've entered into the dark side of modeling. Don't even try to rationalize to your significant other what you just bought, why you needed it, or most importantly...what it cost.
Have fun.
Frank
