You can see why I left the other Stug in pieces ....the paint was still complicated and difficult to do....that paint is going to get done two more times with the other kits...as I think part of the difficulty was because that one was built ...in the end...the best Stug will get the banners
It did go over my normal time limit...so will have to start jamming lol ....for as soon as ATC posts his pictures...I will jump back on to 1/16th

While you are here I was going to shoot a primer base of mr finishing surface 1500 black with some lacquer thinner do have any advise .

The only reason is I need to paint a black primer instead of grey never used it

Black is a strong base Kiaser....if I knew what you were going to top off with it might help...what you have to keep in mind is ...when you topcoat...if you like the color that is shown by the factory that made the paint...their chips are usually done on a white base ....black would alter the finished "tone"

Grey is not bad...it's a still considered a Neutral Color....it will affect certain colors ...but in most cases works just as well as white....As you can detect...I do not follow the rules others here do....having painted Autos for several years...and having to deal with touch ups ....you learn the importance of the base coat ,,,So if you like the color represented by the factory ...base it with the lightest color you have...if you want it dark...use the black...it will darken the finish without you mixing it into the color and changing the pigmenting all together

What gets me is the thickness of the steel...looks like you could shoot through it with a 45 cal....can you imagine what a 50 cal did to it

Thanks for the advise as my chip coat is mig ammo burnt iron .

Make a test card Kiaser....put a white stripe of paint ...a grey...then a black...then shoot the burnt Iron across all three of them...see which tone you like best...then base your tank accordingly

Yes thank you that is a brilliant plan will follow your advise .

No problem Kiaser once you get the idea of adjusting tones by adjusting the base coat...you can apply that to any paint job you do

Now for the Pepsi Tank with the thin armour if you had been nominated for driving it I would insist on a roll cage but that is just me

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMM....I think I would like to be in a different tank...Maybe ask for a best of three short straw pulls
