Well that's it for a while no Jagdtiger for me, the dishwasher died today. On top of the puppy eating an extension cord and needing 2 vet visits and x-rays there's no money for any tank for a while. $587 for the dishwasher, $478 for the puppy, $0 left for the tank.

We have managed to save ourselves $580 by investing in a bottle of "Fairy Liquid" (With a most attractive Honeysuckle aroma) and doing the washing up in the sink usually together,
My lady washing and me drying, go on give it a go,
We even talk to each other while doing it,
Even when the Kids were living with us we never bought or really needed a dish washer.
Sorry to hear about the dog though, now that is what I call an essential fixture in a civilised home, and I agree with you they don't come cheap,
If it is not to late, never ever buy a HORSE, The Bank of England cannot print money fast enough to cover the costs of running one of them!!!

Look for the silver lining Jack....If you do make it out to Max's place...you can use his for a little while ...You still have lots of projects....just step out of that rut you're in and get going...you don't have to Own the JagdTiger NOW to be Happy...people make sacrifices everyday

If you're both in the sink, where does the washing up go?!?

Never owned a dishwasher, kitchen's not big enough either. Washing up goes from dirty pile (via sink) to the draining board & then back into use.

What gets me about Dishwashers is you generally have to rinse the dirty dish anyway ....a little more elbow grease and some soap...what the heck do you need the dishwasher for

I used to have a dishwasher, but then moved to my current abode, and although it has a bigger kitchen the builders didn't put in any anywhere that I could fit one? So, I sold the brand new dishwasher that I had brought with me and went back to good old washing up liquid and a bowl. Two years on, and I still don't miss it? The way I look at it, that's at least two nice tank pcb's, and I know which I will get more fun out of...

Sorry to hear of your run of luck Mr Jack, but trust me, I have teenagers, and a dishwasher ,& I know which one(s) I prefer at night time taking care of the task. Aint the squabling teens I can give you the news !!
The vets dont miss ya, they charge more than people doctors and the patients cant tell you they are crap

Terry you could always buy a conversion kit for your kt and extend the hull a bit

I think I'm going to buy it in parts from Imex. Start with the lower hull, then get the upper, the road wheels and drive sprockets and tracks, get an IBU2 from Ian. This way it'll be easier to buy seeing how SOMETHING ALLWAYS coms up just when I have almost all the money saved up for something. Rather then try to go all the way to $550, $160 for the lower then $180 for the upper the following payday is no biggie.
