Bill, tanks are the last thing in three R/C world I've messed with! :haha: I've been doing this stuff for every bit of 35 years.

Ok so little ray if sun shine, I found my local hobby shop has the new Imex Jadgtiger in stock for $549.99! That's $200.00 LESS then Imex has them going for on their site! WTF? I'm going to call Erik Monday and see what he can do on price cause if the Hobby shop has them for $550 they can do a LOT better then $750! I'll have one either way in a couple weeks so stay tuned!

Great idea Jack....get the Jagd...then Quit....then you can give the Jagd to me :haha: :haha: :haha:

Really though....this thread in my opinion is a cry for help....so send all your tanks to me....then consider yourself intervened :D

PS. I promise not to give any of them back no matter what you say :haha: :haha:

Just kidding Jack...have more than enough tanks already :D ...if you do get serious..let me know lol ;)

The reality is ...I don't think you will find anything better than RC tanks....Just like you I've done just about every type of RCing around...Tanks are the most practical because they are difficult to "crash" :haha: ...and are pretty well built and designed... :D

Also ...Just like you have no one around to really get down and dirty with ....it doesn't bother me...mostly because I build my tanks pretty much exclusively for me ...I don't build to impress anyone...that is not the intent of the hobby for me ....It is..what might be causing the blues for you...and I high light "maybe"...as the desire to impress others will definitely bring on the blues ...it is also the reason I don't go too far with my mods...especially the internals ...as the general public are impressed with what they see already...going further is for like a place like this...where there are enthusiasts that appreciate that stuff....and to add to that...even if the mods are done...pretty much everyone in these circles have seen it already

Personally I think...diversification could be the cure....do something you really want to do...like that engine compartment detail...or switch to another scale...I've found several people RCing 1/35th scale kits...thinking about doing some myself :D ....

Bottom line...Add Dimension to the Hobby...and do it for yourself :D

Good luck with your dilemma Jack

That's a great price for a JT. Erik has them at an introductory price of $569 but I don't know for how long. Also keep in mind that the prices on the Imex website are purposely inflated because they don't want to compete with their dealers, so any time you want ANYTHING from Imex you should ALWAYS call Erik first to get the Forum Member Price. It really is cheaper if you say you're on RCTW or RCU.

I'm sure you know I just got a JT (I've bragged about it all over the universe), and you'll just LOVE it. Especially with an IBU in it. So get those personal batteries recharged, Jack, and start planning for a trip to Detroit next summer. You'll love my tank village and you'll go home with tons and tons of great photos. If you come to Detroit I'll do my best to see that Detroit Tank Command schedules a battle for while you're here so you can meet all the guys. Before you leave we'll have you looking for jobs and housing right here in the D. :)

So stop feeling burned out and get back to work!! We need all the tankers we can get, and you're one of the good ones.

When FDR coined the phrase "The Arsenal of Democracy", he was talking about Detroit. Proud to live in the 2nd most violent city in America!!

Detroit.....hmmmmm.... That's what a full day drive? Where in Detroit? Don't need your address just an idea where in Detroit. :D

As for the Jagdtiger I told the wife and she's not exactly a happy camper with the idea of another tank says I have too many now, how is 1 King Tiger, 2 Tigers, 1 Tiger that's a wreck (Palepainters which I doubt will ever get repaired as it needs everything), my 251 halftrack, and an 88mm flak cannon, a motorcycle and about 30 troops too many tanks? Insane! Besides after the Jagdtiger I need at least 1 Panther and I'm thinking a Panzer III. I'd like to get some Ally stuff too but until something beside a Sherman, an M41 or M26. Maybe a nice Soviet tank or 2 not sure yet.

Still better than a car boat or airplane...even helicopters and drones...most need to be packed up and taken somewhere to be played with...playing in your yard is the good thing about tanks...there is no need to really pack them up...you can just go out and relieve the tension as you please

Detroit doesn't seem like a bad idea either...if it's only a days drive...take the wife and kids...drop them off then go play with Max for awhile...you don't need to haul everything with you..just the essentials :D
