Hey Michael, the unit comes from rctankelectronics (aka tankbear) known as a vampire many in the club like them. It's basically 4 sensors and 4 leds on a wiring harness. In this tank there are 4 vision slits on the cupola, which is where I put the sensors. The indication leds were put into the cupola and sanded flat so you can't see them till they light up (or you look pretty closely).

Installation at the time of construction is straight forward although retrofitting in the same way I did would be a pig of a job.

Ah yes indeed. I do remember seeing it on his website now. Did you end up putting the IR emitter into the MG spot on the mantlet then ? That's the usual spot for the non Tamiya crowd anyway.

Max, I saw the Falcon at FanExpo a month ago. I guess you can get them at Walmart but it is not cheap, not here anyway. Pretty expensive for a small quad but then it is Star Wars. Also, you should try to come out to our tank meet in October. I know our Windsor member will be attending. It is just outside Fort Erie. I am sure everyone would love to see your JT.

Nah the muzzle break is massive so I took advantage and put it in there. Whilst I do it on most german armour I'm not a fan of using the coax mg to put the emitter as I always struggle with the barrel shade

Thanks, Tom, I'll pass that on to the guy with the Leo. He's also got a Tamiya Pershing, so I guess he'll just have to fight with that. :)

I've read about the hairspray technique but still haven't tried it. I guess it's about time I did. It looks great.

Michael, I'd love to come to one of your meets but the Canadian Government won't let me in. Ya butcher one rapist and suddenly you're an "undesirable".

I'll check the prices on the Falcon around here. The new line of Star Wars toys are really being played up for Christmas. And George is laughing all the way to the bank.

OK, around here the small Falcon goes for about $50, the large four prop Falcon for about $90, but I think I like the X Wing Fighter at about $70. May have to try one out. Or two, or maybe all three! :)

Looks good Tom. You're paint work has always been great but your effects work is getting really good. The exhausts look real!

Are you sold on the Mig Ammo paints then?

So its about the same after the exchange..........

Too bad about your border situation...... You look like you have enough tanks and property to have your own battle field though !
