Imex/Torro Jagdtiger - Box Opening

Post by Max-U52 »

OK, Fellas, this is it, the box opening for the Imex/Torro Jagdtiger. The very first photo I posted of this tank was in edpanzer's thread and this is the photo

Image

The first video is long but there's a lot of stuff in these two boxes. The second video is the inside of the tank (please try not to rib me too much about not being able to open the darn thing in the first video), and I must have said it a thousand times, you only get one take at a box opening video and I don't know how to edit video (yet) so it's either show it like it is or don't show it. Well, I'm gonna show it, but let's try not to get too juvenile about the plumber's pants. It wasn't intentional and if I knew how to edit it out I would, but I don't so I'll just have to live with it.

And the third video shows the JT going through the motions outdoors in the now deserted village.

I'll start a separate thread for the paint and detail work, but it will be a while before I get to that. I'll post another video here once the IBU2 is in so you can see what a difference it makes. If the weather is good I'll set up at least part of the village this weekend to get some stills, and I also have some stills after the videos.

I still have to upload the rest of the still photos to photobucket so I'll try to get that done this evening.

Now for the biggest question of all ... Should I paint the bucket?

And these are the stills I took after the outdoor video. Computer problems held me up for a minute.

Max,
Congratulations on that super tank-killer there. ;o) Torro\Taigen have some great offerings in metal and have come a long way away from the old HL molds with their new stuff. The detail paint is a little slap-dash still but it wouldn't be the hobby that it is if they didn't leave us some little thing to do on the vehicles. That Beauty is certainly worth every dime. I'll be following along to see what you do with it.
regards,
Painless

OK, Guys, here she is after installation of some proper electronics. I kind of consider that an important part of the "new item" concept because the IBU2 was ordered specifically for this tank, with a try at timing the arrivals to coincide (missed by almost a week!). Ian even sent me a sample of the 128mm gun several weeks ago, so there was never any intention to put anything but an IBU in this tank. The only thing I didn't count on was the need for a more powerful sound system, but I have some speakers to play with and I may add an amp, but that will be part of the build thread, which I've already got a couple videos for and they cover the install of the IBU.

This, IMO, is a truly terrific tank but a proper board should be a part of the plan right from the start. It's not bad on stock electronics, it's just sooo much better with decent control.

Yeah, Alpha, once you do it a couple times it starts to make sense. :)
