Nobody tells you about the right way to fit the screens but if you look at the ABER PE you will notice one side has lines scored along the edge,
These are where you should be using a set of pe edging pliars to bend them so they fit over the grilles without overhang.
I hope this is not too late.

Yeah, I thought something looked odd but wasn't sure since I have never worked with photo etch coupled with the fact that I am not an expert or pro builder. I don't recall seeing these lines. The screens would be easy to take off. So I'm assuming that you bend down like a 90 degree angle?

PZ, If you look at the sides of the Grilles you will see that they slope outwards from the top to the bottom,
That is the angle you are looking for to get a tight fit and a solid alighnment of the screens on top of the Grilles. Any straight edge as long as it is sharp enough will help with the bend.

Thanks again for you technical advice Jarndice! I never noticed or knew anything about the slope of the PE screen. Ok, just to be clear, once I have the direction of the slope right, I line up one side edge to edge & then whatever the over-hang is on the other side, that is the side that gets bent straight down as long as it has the scribed line?

PZ, If you decide to use more PE can I offer a tip?
On the edge of the pe the frame that holds the pe is inscribed on one side with various numbers and letters, these are a bit like painting by numbers!!!
When you look at the instructions you will notice the numbers and letters which of course indicate where everything goes and as you have discovered (Hopefully not to late) there are bend lines inscribed on one side of many parts to help with bending the pe correctly

Yeah, I did not bother to look at the directions....I though all you had to do was remove the screens from the fret & attach with super glue. No, it is not too late to correct as long as the bending lines are still there. I only lightly attached the screens on with glue. They should come off easily.

PZ, You should see lines on either sides of the screen and you bend on those lines to the angle of the grilles upon which they will fit.
The lines are deliberately weaker than the surrounding pe to make the bend easier.

Cool! Thank you for pointing that out Jarndice. I will make the corrections as needed. I'm so glad I decided to join RC Tank Warfare & start a build thread. If not, I would have had a very inaccurate Tiger I paint scheme plus incorrectly installed PE intake screens. Its apparent that this Recruit needs more training & instruction in the fine art of Panzer modeling!
