Sorry It Had To Be Done

Post by FireflyKeith »

Finally got my mp3 player and speakers fitted in the Sherman, The problem was finding speakers loud enough to hear over the tank sound but we got there in the end, anyway messing around at work today we decided to make a short video, so we made a quality prop  ;D  and this is the result You will need to turn the volume up to hear it properly as it was filmed on my digital camera  ::)

To get the speakers loud enough i had to get a set with a battery pack, so i had to find room inside for the battery pack, a switch, 2 speakers and the mp3 player, i managed this by taking the Tamiya speaker out of its enclosure and fitting it flush in the lower hull (this made no difference in the sound quality) then added the new stuff above, here is the layout its not perfect yet but it will do for now, i opened the engine hatch so i could get to the speaker switch, OH and i fitted a loud speaker on the side of the turret ;D

That is so cool. Opens up a lot of possibilities. Now just blast God save the Queen. That will get the crout running.

Very cool keith!

You know with EL MOD you can load music on you sound blaster and initiate the song from your radio!

That is how the music is playing at the end of this video, it comes from the sound blaster!
