Volume control question: linear vs logrithmic

I just read that logarithmic pot is better for audio/volume than linear..correct? Thanks

I've always used linear volumes for tanks. I guess the logrithmic idea comes from the decibel scale used with sound pressure where for ever 3db increase it doubles in sound pressure there for the logrithmic is counter acting it so to the human ear it is acting linear (ish).

That's my thoughts on it but I might be way of target.

This is more about where to place the Volume control?
I have a CLARK board equipped Tiger 1 and I have located the volume control under the Drivers hatch opposite the power switch which is under the M/G/Radio Operators hatch, it is sunk into the inner fender which is great with one speaker and therefor one volume control but I have an IBU2 and that has two speakers and two volume controls and I would be interested as to where other Tiger 1 users place their Volume Controls?

If I understand you I by pass the Receiver and plug into the 2 pot control slots of the TPA of the IBU2 Pro and then use my Spectrum DX6i to control the volume?

Thank you Paul, Forgive my dimwittedness, even this moron has finally grasped what you mean,
I think it was the underwhelming game? of rugby I saw earlier,
A game with potential completely spoiled by match officials who seemed to think that the worldwide audience had tuned in to watch them rather than two professional rugby teams at the top of their game.
