Alpha-Matic,
I was looking at those tracks. They look like the tracks on my old Monogram Sherman, Bonnie B-15.. I built that tank 20 years ago and at that time, it was a 'new and great' revision of an older Sherman by the brand. I know you don't like working on the smaller scales any more so I will give you an 'attaboy!' for tackling this poor Sherman. Let us see a pic of your redo when you get the chance.
regards,
Painless

P.S. For Kaiser Here is a newer pic of my old 1/35 Tamiya Tiger 1 with those new tracks I found earlier this year.

Kiaser,
I believe that these tracks can still be found. They are Dragon's ( much maligned by scale modelers ) flexible tracks for the early Tiger 1. I found a set on Ebay and bought them. I was going to buy a whole Tamiya early Tiger 1 just for the tracks but never brought myself to that point. The Dragon tracks were a great compromise.

Painless

P.S. Apologies for the slight thread hijack, Alpha.

They have buukoo Tiger tracks on EBAY lol....in 1/35th...they have plastic ...and metal...thing is...all are individually links...just like the 1/16th stuff...the big difference is you have to assemble them yourself :O ...Now think about the 1/16 link pins and the holes you have to put them in...then imagine that in 1/35th ...with over 200 links to put together  .............need I say more :haha:

Painless feels no pain...enjoys drilling tiny holes and fitting little things together...me I'm abnormally lazy...thinking about doing work on miniature tracks...is almost like slamming my head against a stone wall just for the kicks :haha:

If anything..it's straight lol...after a night of work...I showed it to my nephew who lives with me...he just shrugged...
said he couldn't really tell the difference 8O ...so I guess the end result is like that old idiom passed around blue haired ladies...How "only the hairdresser knows" kind of thing ;) ............ :haha:

Alpha,
*Chuckles* I _did_ think about the tracks like Fruilmetal and Spade Ace for that Tiger but was worried that the metal would blow Tamiya's small gearbox. I went with the Dragon tracks since they had great detail and were made with a newer material than the older Tamiya types. Should stay flexible longer. ;o)

I wouldn't mind finding some inexpensive new tracks for this POJ Firefly...but there is none to be found..closest thing I found was located in Poland 8O and cost twice as much as this model :'(

MAN...those 1/35th scale tanks aren't cheap anymore...I remember paying tops 25 for a remote Tamiya...went down from there with other brands ...when I was a scrublink...models used to be 50 cents for a 1/72nd scale airplane...and maybe 5.00 for a 1/35th scale american brand model tank...Now it's just crazy...the plastic is lousier too :wtf:

Alpha,
Here are some current pics of 'Bonnie' What do you think? Same tracks? ( bear in mind that this model is 20 + years old )

P.S. Bonnie was a Testors model, not Monogram. Still have the box ;o)
