FPV on an Imex Tiger one with an Asp

Hi guys,

I said in my intro post I'm working on a couple cool projects, and this is one of them. Today was the first outdoor test and these are the results. If anyone is interested just say so and I'll post the videos for how I made the camera platform and how it can be swapped from tank to tank. It's pretty much completely self contained. You could set it on the dashboard of the car and watch your better half driving to the store until she gets out of range (what that is I still don't know), but I like it on my tanks. The Mobius is a pretty good unit in itself and I also mount it on my Jagdpanther that runs on an IBU2 with just some white tack. For these videos the village isn't set up, but I have videos like this from when it was. The difference here is that I'm driving through the goggles in this video so I drove all up and down the trails without ever getting out of the chair. I can't even begin to tell you how much fun it was, and the only thing I still need to get worked out is all these cushions strips that came with the goggles. It is a little heavy so I'm glad I have the strips, cuz I'm gonna need them.

and this one is the view from the turret of the tank, and it's the same view I get through the goggles as I drive.

That looks like a very neat way to drive your tank but without a view of the turret position in relation to the hull and what's along side it make it hard to maneuver on a narrow trail?

Yeah, the turret location is a problem I'm still trying to solve. This is a video of how I use just the Mobius without the FPV goggles on the Jagdpanther, and that being turretless location ain't a problem. I can mount the FPV platform on the JP, too, so that's gonna be the next test.

So as you can see, I'm just kinda fumblin' my way through all this but, man, am I having fun.

For the turret location thing, I was thinking about some kind of flag or stick that can be seen from the Mobius to tell me where the turret is. Make it stick way out like the refueling probe on a helicopter. If it's low enough it might not be too noticeable. I'm open to suggestion on this one so maybe I'll get lucky and one of you guys will have a brilliant idea.

Only thing I can think of would be a mount further back on the tank where maybe you could see more of the tank.
