NOW.... As for any shill bidding taking place then this is absolute rubbish. I obviously knew who was bidding on the Tiger and had lots of questions from potential buyers and a few of these potential buyers actually bid on the Tiger. In the end there were 10 bidders who between them had placed 39 bids with the winning bidder coming in at the last moment and NO he did not snipe he waited until the last moment to bid.

The Tiger was worth a lot more than it sold for but that is what can happen when an item is sold on ebay. We all want a bargain and the person who won the Tiger certainly got himself a real bargain but I was happy for him as he is such a nice guy and a real Tiger enthusiast. He is not a member on here or any other forum to my knowledge.

Just because an item attracts a lot of bidding throughout the duration of the auction, not just at the end, does not mean that shilling has taken place.
Reading the above comments from "ALPHA" it seems that he was more interested in trying to force his assumption on others that shilling was definitely taking place and seemed to miss the point that this was a "really superb" large scale model tank that was being sold on ebay.

Just an opinion...pretty much dead in the water since the auction is over...and yes...shill bidding is alive and well ...You may not believe it...others as well...it's all good with me

Good Luck with your Classic Car

Just the person to enlighten Muscles to the world of 1/6th Tankery...so glad you chimed in John  ....Your tanks are outstanding as usual...I can't believe you fit them in a mini....but it's like I tried to explain to Muscles...1/6th is a totally different animal than 1/16th...you really have to know what you are doing..and make sure you have the proper equipment when moving to that scale....your ramps...your storage...your work area is all proof of that...it's something a lot of others do not notice as attention is primarily on your tanks...but that's just a small part of the big picture...it's a different kind of dedication I would say...and you have taken that part of the hobby and made it a pleasurable lifestyle :D

Good to see and read you again John

Working on some new parts for the Tigers. Seats for gunner and loader. Turret floor. Fighting compartment floor which hides a lot of the electronics. Ammo bins. So far I have 32 88mm rounds ready to fit. Armortek open day at Bovington in October so hoping to have most of the work done.

That I would say is one of the major differences in the Scales....you can do things like that in a 1/6th....try it on a 1/16th...the effort might just drive you crazy
Would be nice to see some photos later on...I can't imagine how cool it must be to use real materials for upholstered areas...and making real steel control surfaces :D

PS...Have you done a 1/6th GUP tank yet?...Still waiting to see what figure I might have to make :haha:

I see a company called medicom is producing 1/6 GUP figures but too expensve. I would have liked them as a crew for my panzer IV.

:O MEDICOMs are expensive lol....they are for a reason though...there are probably the most collected brand right now...you can't beat the figures for the detail ...if I made one or two for your tanks...it would be from kitbashing some garage kits...I already have some where the face shape are similar...so it's just a matter of reconfiguring the rest of the uniform :D ....the only drawback is you wouldn't be able to pose them like the articulated medicons :'(

ALPHA

PS..I've seen the Medicon military figures too...those are nice...very pricey though lol
