ALPHA, here are some markings for your reference. I have nothing to do so I went to check out some of my reference books. Hope this helps (this is a M1A2 SEPV2 by the way). Can't wait for the Challenger 2 to be out.

See? The real thing has issues, too? :haha: :haha: :haha:
Wonder if the JGSDF is partially sponsored by Tamiya 8O ... lol...could be the reason the real tank falls apart...and the model is so lack luster :eh:

There's even a GuP-esque chibi version of the incident:

WOW DNAR....that's just what I've been looking for....I did find similar images...but they didn't stick...think the guy pulled or deleted them from whatever they were on...thing is they were either white or black...not yellow like the ones in your pictures....I don't know why I care...usually I don't lol...but yellow was actually my first choice for the chevron....but there was nothing around that would verify that that color was ever used on a modern tank...I only found one...but it was a hypothetical drawing...the yellow did pop on the illustration...but I generally like to get references from real tanks

Thanks muchly for the Photos...they are what the doctor ordered

Like liquid gold you have all the luxury on that little island of paradise all at your finger tips ;D

And no one has built the recovery car for continuous hook up for the tammy type 10 to get around on the battlefield :haha: :haha: .
WHICH BEAST???????????? 8O ....The M1 or the Type 10 :haha: ....if it's the Type 10....it would give you incentive to build a tow tank to go with it ;)

Your welcome ALPHA. Drop me a PM if you need detail pics of this M1A1 to A2, AIM to SEP, TUSK 1 or TUSK 2 and I will try to dig my stash of photos. Do you want to fully scratch built the TWMP?

Not that easy ??? Even if you have a lure or bait of a pineapple with a straw :D

M1 this one here 1st armoured Regiment former 3 cav.

Yep I am afraid to do the type 10 8O dust is what it will collect it needs a lot of tweak parts to fix it .
Just needs to be set up for target practice with the BB members let us face the facts it is not going far :haha: :haha:
There are just things on that Type 10 that don't look right...the barrel looks too fat for one...one that can't quite be seen...is the light plastic that was used...heard in some areas that actually needed to be beefed up ...isn't
I too won't be taking that leap to find out major disappointments...it just might be better to get the smaller scaled version to work with and just keep what is saved for what Heng Long will be hitting the market with next :D

So you got the M1....do you have it in hand or are you awaiting it's arrival ;)

Thanks again DNAR... My build is actually pretty much over...just need to do the chevrons and put the Saunders insignia on.....TWMP....is that that multi bladed gadget for mine sweepers...if it is...no ...I probably won't build that or put one on my tank....it would limit the capabilities of it if I did...not to mention I might just break it off by accident lol...Are the yellow chevrons an indicator of one of those units?...Not that it really matters...as I don't usually follow the rules of realism ....this will be a future version of an Anime tank...so something totally Fiction ;)

Did you lock one down yet DNAR?...you should :D ....the model Scalawag got looks impressive to say the least ;)

Yup the mine low. You could do it for static picture display and remove while playing. Or you can make it workable to be stowed up while playing.....but then you will do it for Anime tank.

The Chevrons are tank unit indicator. You can make your own fictional unit and follow the colour design to make it stand out.

I'm still waiting for the exact time to get one. Likely around November - December time or hopefully soon if the mrs. wouldn't notice.....(I can hide a 35th scale but a 1/16 - I'm so dead!)

I'll leave that to you and ATC :D ...I think another member had one 3d printed up for him..Brizo had one of the early releases ;)

Good lol....I settled on yellow...made up a bunch of mock colored chevrons...held them up to the tank to see the effect...the yellow popped out and stood out best... 8) ...So will probably be cutting out some frisket and painting them up soon

:haha: My Sympathies ;) ....you could still get it ...and when it arrives....give her credit for an early gift...or just show her some photos of some 1/6th scale tanks and say..."aren't you happy I didn't go in that direction" :shifty:

Thanks for the help DNAR
