No way to know...unless someone says....to me the tank was too big ...too heavy...only a 1/6th modeller who already has the equipment to support that model will truly appreciate it ...It was nice to look at and drool over though

it was definitely nice but you're right - definitely too big and my wife would have divorced me!
I would have thought 1/6th would use engines rather than electric motors?

They actually do have gas powered tanks in 1/6th ...but those things are noisy....and they don't run very long...the electric motors in those are nothing like what's in a 1/16th....the motor are more equivalent to those of power tools...or those mini power buggies that kids ride on...they are big...some weighing over 200 lbs 8O
Imagine hauling that to the park for a half hour run :haha:

For any body interested in going 1/6 handling is not so difficult. The only real issue is space. I keep them on home made trollys. Easy to move them around the workshop. Quad bike ramps are essential. Large car not essential. I drove 400 km with a Tiger 1 in a mini. Mini is now gone. :D

Bidding wars are what happens when you have a great product.
True....but a real bidding war goes to the end....I have to admit..I've been out sniped more than once lol....it's hard to explain shilling..but people do it...you will find that in most cases where the bidding starts very low...I learned to recognize it....sometimes participate in the "push" myself :haha: because I know I won't get it at that point...Honestly though ED....the guys who are really in the know...wait... ;)

Hi Guys. I felt that I had to comment on all of the previous posts about the Tiger 1 that is being discussed in this thread.

I was the person selling Rivetcounters 1/6 Tiger 1 and yes it was a really superb model that had so much detail added to the inside as well as the outside.
I only owned it for a few months but it certainly was a real pleasure to own and the only reason I sold it was the fact that I had to have some repairs carried out on my classic car.

NOW.... As for any shill bidding taking place then this is absolute rubbish. I obviously knew who was bidding on the Tiger and had lots of questions from potential buyers and a few of these potential buyers actually bid on the Tiger. In the end there were 10 bidders who between them had placed 39 bids with the winning bidder coming in at the last moment and NO he did not snipe he waited until the last moment to bid.

The Tiger was worth a lot more than it sold for but that is what can happen when an item is sold on ebay. We all want a bargain and the person who won the Tiger certainly got himself a real bargain but I was happy for him as he is such a nice guy and a real Tiger enthusiast. He is not a member on here or any other forum to my knowledge.

Just because an item attracts a lot of bidding throughout the duration of the auction, not just at the end, does not mean that shilling has taken place.
Reading the above comments from "ALPHA" it seems that he was more interested in trying to force his assumption on others that shilling was definitely taking place and seemed to miss the point that this was a "really superb" large scale model tank that was being sold on ebay.

Hi Muscleflex. Tiger 1 in a mini. No worries about it shifting while driving. No space.

Have fun in the garden with 1/6

If you have the space there are bargains out there sometimes. I'm working on a second Tiger at the moment. It was to good a bargain to miss.

Good luck to the lucky buyer. Have fun.

I should have kept the camera running to show the boot (trunk) could be closed. Space in the front was tight though.
