The inside of the sight box looks really good, much more detailed then mine.
You did the lift rings for the engine cover. I presume you will also do the cover bolt down squares at each side also?

Yep, will add those square thingies later.

The lift rings was fairly easy. I just punched four styrene discs from thin stock, glued two pairs together, cut in half, then punched one half with a smaller punch to make the inner arc. I'll clean it up later as I didn't have time to do so last night. Progress is slow as I've got only a short time working on the tank every night after each working day.

Glad to touch base again ATC. Its been a long time! What version of this tank did you have? This is a mix part from SEP M1A1 and M1A2. excellent job on the Vapour compression unit. Did the haul includes the hawker battery compartment?

This is HL's basic version of the M1A2 with plastic tracks, idlers, and sprockets and stock gearbox. I have the metal running gear (less road wheels) and steel gearbox. Will be upgrading the electronics next year and hopefully manage to get the Taigen Airsoft recoiling unit to fit in it.

I'm modifying the basic M1A2 into the SEP v2 version.

I see. With the post Iraq M1A2 SEP some of then had TUSK ARAT tiles but I think they loose it when they where brought back state side. It retains the crow RWS. Don't forget the ducts located on the bottom end of the turret that connects to the Vapour compressor unit.

Yep. They used the newer CROWS 2 for the v2. They dropped the added armour as it's not needed right now. I figure they'd add it back when the need arises.

I saw it. Excellent execution as always mate! You can cast the oil indicator road wheel hub in clear resin to simulate it properly in scale! Awesome work as always my friend.

I can see that you re-do the hawker battery compartment as they have missed that part on the original kit. That would be very essential to the current M1A2's SEP. You can start to do a tweak list so others can follow this.

Here is the Chally 2 TES 2008 I did in 1/72......if they come up with CR2 this will be done.

DBAR - The model HL has made is the M1A2 and it is pretty much correct as is. Very different from the SEPv1 or SEPv2.
The hubs can also just be painted something a little less then black with gloss paint to get the same effect.
