Ahhhh "Star Blazers" as it was called in the U.S. with the space battle ship Yamato fond memories. You do know this was the first cartoon to have an order to them and had to be shown in that order? At least they claim it is, not sure "Captain Future" was that way or if it was pre "Star Blazers" or not.

I had several models of the Yamato from the series as well as many of the robot models while in the Army and I'll never forget my Drill Sgt telling me only military models were allowed and I told him they were military models, he did a double take and told me no they weren't. I asked him what would he call them then with all the big ass guns they had on them? He looked at them again looked at me, shook his head, told me if I did 100 push ups I could have any model kits I wanted. I did my push ups and got more robots! :haha:

YUP Starblazers...like Jack said...at the time it was a good Anime....better than Gundam...the stories were boring on those....When Macross and Robotech came out...well that changed the Sci fi genre all together ;)

Keiser, you can still buy models from the series ranging from around $30 to several hundred. Let me know if you want me to pick you one up the next time I go to the Hobby shop as they have several in stock.
