Are you going to do the same for the copula and drivers hatch. Also what did you use for the red glass.

I did mine from the inside. Was much easier that way could just get the right shape cut out to fit and leave enough extra on the bottom to hold onto with a tweezers as I pushed them up into place.

Yeah.........it's going to be a tough pull on the cupola...glued mine down already lol....the driver's hatch shouldn't be a problem...but I am concerned about the cupola :|

Yea doing it from the outside will be hard since you need the reddish color and the shiny look.

Greetings DNAR ...What are you interested in? The M1...great model! ...but you really shouldn't be looking at mine as an example lol...ATC's and Giant's has much more work done to them...Which is actually pretty cool...as it does show how good this platform is to build on ;)
This is the super deluxe model that HL just release...all metal running gear...that's tracks...road wheels with bearings...suspension arms...sprockets and idlers...mine has zinc gearboxes...also came with a LiOn battery ..and the newest 2.4 gig rig :D

I'm into scale modelling for a long time and also competing in show such as Euromilitaire. I wanted to get my hands on larger scale RC tanks and planning to get one soon. Been lurking here for a while but I can't help looking at the brilliant RC tanks you and the rest of the chaps are doing.

As for the gears, do you need to upgrade to steel? I'm seeing some seller in eBay saying that their version had steel gears and turret fully rotate to 360 degrees rather than a 320.

Slightly off topic, here is my 1/72 static M1A2 TUSK conversion from M1A1Image

Sorry for the deviation just sharing my passion. ATC if i'm not mistaken will recognise me.

Here are a couple of pics to give you the scale I worked in. This is in comparison to a cocktail stick.

This photo is long taken last 2012. My version is TUSK II and this have the Hawker battery compartment that I did...not shown in this photo. It does not have the under armour APU.

Alpha full apologies for piggy backing your thread.

Looks like I have to anyway....did some research...it looks like there is an outer clear/smoke lens then the red behind it...don't know if I want to go that far..we'll see ;)
