I'd Like to see it painted to, mostly to see what your nonslip looks like when the paint blends it into the rest of the tank and the details you add over the weekend.

I'm aiming to finish all the details I INTEND ( :haha: ) to do for the tank until Monday, so I can start the painting process in September. :crazy: I'm jealous seeing the painted tanks of greengiant and ALPHA hehehehe

I dare/challenge the three of you.................(you know who you are :) ) to make a section in "things to fix on your new tank" on how to upsize your M1A1 fries :eh: ;)
I note the section for Abrams is absent. :think:

OH NOES!!! 8O :shifty: :thumbup:

I modified the flap of the mantlet to make it movable by making hinges. BUT it seems the modification is for naught since when moving the gun up and down, the trunnions are placed in a location that makes the mantlet too high when it goes up. As a result, it doesn't make the flap remain on the turret roof. :(

The hatch looks good also looks like your going to make working doors on the gunners sight box ??? .
The hinges look good but I can't give any advice on how to possibly make it work without using the hobby engine Abrams recoil and elevation units and mounts like I did.
I think they would work on mine as the pivots are much more forward in the turret and the mantle doesn't rise so high when the gun is elevated.

Yeah the trunnions must be more forward for it to work.
