Ahh, yip...............small volcanic rock in the Pacific yes :haha:
Well, not this time mate.
Its on...........cant say im doing a backward flip with a double pyke about it, but its fresh & unsealed etc so should define a lot more.
The pictures dont really show it but there are three colours on it now.
The Olive base(now the straight lines)
Black Green
JA Green
I did not want it to look like an ME 262 but did want a similar style of 3 blend green tones to give it an overall darker look.
Gone off the idea of adding Hinterhalt dots as it would be too much I think.
Still a fair old way to go, details etc, cables, all the usual, buts its progressed well enough over the last few days.

Better pull that tape of soon lol....it might rip your basecoat off 8O ....unless of course you stuck the tape to your arm or leg first...then the glue won't stick for sure ;)
Won't address the volcanic rock in the Pacific..pretty much knew you would pull it off Herman....but there's nothing like a little pressure put on to make you move a little faster eh ? :haha: :haha: ...Just kidding... Knowing what I've seen you do already...this one should come out just as good as your other builds if not better :D

Its off as soon as the paint went dry.
Also have sealed it just now.
I did have some tape rage which included ripping patches off the base coat while repositioning but only on the Schurzen and luckily in areas I can cover with the rocket frames & burn marks from previous salvos :problem:
I will put pics up soon, off to get a new BBQ

Oh by the way the Paintwork looks great although when I saw the first picture I thought it was the finished work because the Tank was almost impossible to distinguish,

G'day Mr Jarndice, well Im not all about sympathy when it comes to BBQ's mate. I just simply wore mine right out.
Got an all stainless job with a heap of accoutrements, a spit roaster set and fish basket for $1100 bucks, its a 'beudy

I get what you mean about that first pic, I had to go back & look, but yeah, it does look sort of done. Tamiya 10mm masking tape.
Decided not to use the Panzer Putty for a more traditional style to keep in the theme of late '45/early '46 and a rocket tank as well. I guess the 262 thing with jets and the Zu-Fuss rockets can be fairly linked in the mindset ;) ;)
Once the matt sealer went on it made the pattern really stand out.
Its still not what I really had in the minds-eye but close enough.
Once all the other snot goes on it I might get the completely loving feeling so to speak  The turret is going to be mostly covered in track links anyway, at least on the sides, so is the hull rear. The rocket frames will disrupt the hull sides, so all in all, a scheme that can be accepted as a late war night operations Panther..................well, I'm going to tell me that anyway :haha: :haha:
Thanks for looking in mate
