IBU2 Voltage
IBU2 Voltage
IBU2 set the recoil to 0 tank still moves back a little running 70 for the smoker not getting much smoke (TARRs) what is the voltage on the board for the smoker port if anyone knows offhand! O'Neal
Re: IBU2 Voltage
Not familiar with the IBU but I have been using this little unit to step up and keep the voltage to the TARR
at 9 volts though you can set it to any voltage you like and it will adjust it up or down/keep it steady.
(The fan really runs fast at 9 but I just need the smoke unit to power it acoustically with a 1 inch speaker.)

Re: IBU2 Voltage
I have a Tarr smoker, and get plenty of smoke with an IBU2, though I use my own concoction of Glycol, Glycerine and e-cig vapour. It pumps out the same amount of smoke on an RX18. Easiest way to check the voltage is to use a multimeter on the smoke unit pins on the board. It's proportional, so the voltage should rise the higher the drive motor speed.

Re: IBU2 Voltage
I find with new TARR units get them running, stick finger on fan (to stop it) for 30-60 seconds then let go. The wick soaks up the oil better without the fan running so once you get the wick soaked in oil it fine.
Regarding voltage the smoker voltage is same as battery, it uses PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) to control the energy output not adjust the voltage.

Re: IBU2 Voltage
PROBLEMO GRANDE!! charged the LIPO 8.2 volts then hooked it up to tank let my Tarr cook for about 40secs then cranked up tank other Tarr and fans kicked on then about 2 minutes later......IT DIED!! That is my Tiger is KAPUT!! I have no little green light on the board. I have 8 .1 volts going to the board checked it at the end of the battery lead. Plugged and unplugged.... nothing!! Fuse is not broken(blown). Need a DOCTOR STAT!!!!!

Re: IBU2 Voltage
Sounds like you must of created a short circuit whilst checking the a smoker. If so you’ve probably blown the tiny 2A fuse (power plug is between the two fuses). The 2A fuse protects the IBU2 and the bigger one protects the speed controllers for the tracks and motors.
The fuse is a “LITTELFUSE 0453002.MR SURFACE MOUNT FUSE” available here
