Out of the box I would go for the Jagdpanther. I think a bit more thought went into it when they made it. I guess it depends on you, Do you like old or new?, big or small?, Get another Elmod then the problem is solved till the Sherman, or Elephant, or T55 OR????????wibblywobbly wrote: If you had to choose, which would you buy, the Stug or the Jagdpanther? I don't know which one to buy next, and I have a spare Elmod set looking for a home!

I don't know much about the HL Jagdpanther - still a bit of an unknown quantity for me. But I was very impressed with the HL StuG. The detailing and the new MFU are first class IMHO.

I think it is the suspension when fitted with metal tracks that sways my judgement. Knowing that my Bulldog is as dependable as you like, I am thinking that the Stug might be the better bet?

It looks a good tank I need to sell before I can buy one as it would mean a tank sitting in a box in the loft a waste

Took my new HL Jagdpanther for a drive today.
Very impressed with it. It rides as well if not better than there Bull Dog and we all know how good they are.
The suspension travel is excellent and the balance seems very good. I ran it on short grass, cement, packed earth and loose dirt. Over rocks, twigs, and rubble, very impressed. Love watching it run over a rock or bit of wood and seeing each wheel rise and fall in turn as it goes over it. The tracks on the Jagdpanther seem to be made of a different material than the previous ones. More like ABS than brittle plastic.
The toe cables are made out of nylon so they will bend without breaking. Mine is the S&S Super version with metal gears and the HL IR system.
No photos of it running yet as I can only do one thing at a time. Hope to do a Video on the week end. so stay tuned.
