What is that little Gadget Giant? It looks like a PEQ but bigger...is it that ? or an outlet to service check the electronics for the side launchers?

Yes, I *really* need stowage, to give the M1 its "gypsy wagon" look that just makes it look even more awesome like this A1 pic:

That said, do you know where I can get storage? I've seen the link posted in your thread or somewhere else, but the stowage is more like generic tarps. I'm looking for sacks and other stuff to hang onto the M1.

An online acquaintance is bugging me to turn this into a hypothetical WW3 War with Russia M1A2 complete with kill rings on the bore evac and a stuck RPG, LOL! But I'll settle for something that's being used in the field but not in a training exercise, so MILES gear and large amber lights are out. Which leads me to ask...

In the M1A2 SEP v2 pix, particularly the ones from Combined Resolve III exercises (which is IIRC where some/most/all pix of the v2 in the Tankograd book came from), there is this large amber light behind the left sponson. Now, I was told the amber lights are used for exercises as a safety thing and possibly to denote a "dead" tank, but I dunno if the mast on which the light is installed remains on the tank or is removed. Any ideas greengiant?

8O That's a lot of stowage 8O ....With that said ATC....with your skills you should be able to make duffle bags....I made a cloth Bucket for Painless wolf...easy ...all I used was damp paper towels and paint....you can use the same material to make tarps ...I've seen scale camo nets on EBAY....but for the kitchen sink...you may just have to find the nearest doll house repository ;)

PS. Funny you bring up that amber light...had the same question in my mind...as it seems HL provides one with the parts

The GPMG can be removed from its mount to keep it safe when transporting the tank in a box. Unlike greengiant's mod, the base of the mount does not move around the skaterink because it's too much trouble for me to replicate hehehe

Lead foil or lead like foil makes a easy way to produce stowage items such as bags, weapon covers, or even loose clothing items. It can also be folded and burnished into the detail over just about any already made solid item then carefully cut off and glued back together as a way to make multiples of the same item. Just have to fill them with something like you would a mold so they keep their shape in case they are pressed on.

The Antenna looks great.

The capped box plug outlets were probably on a turret that had the amber beacon light attached at some time.

The rear markers I know nothing about other then that they only used during training and even then not that often.

With that hull front junction box installed you could go all out and build the mine plow its cables connected to. Not all Abrams had that junction box installed at the factory, but all could be retrofitted with it as part of a mine plow kit.
