Apparently I had some left over styrene rods from back when I built models. So managed to do the bottom part of the extended bustle rack:

Next will be adding the mesh before putting the sides of the rack.

Had to take a look at page one to see where you left off ATC....thinking this build is one for the books...really setting an outstanding standard in old school techniques :D

Yes that's the tower I'm referring to. I read somewhere about an increase in battery capacity and battery charging capability being greatly increased in the v2 model so you may be correct to assume that there no longer is a APU.
I went through prime portal's Abram's section a lot when I did my research and although the pics are of all different models that may have been where I saw the gps mount but maybe not because I remember it as a picture that was of the mount in place with a description of what it was and which model of Abrams it was added to.
I'll have to see if I can find it again.

Find that GPS location interesting Giant...is that the same unit that looks like a PEQ in this photo?

Thanks greengiant. Yes, one of the photos of the GPS receiver I've found is that one, albeit larger.

And the boxes containing the tank infantry phone and other stuff at the rear right - although I haven't added some more details yet at this point:

8O Looking real good ATC....you want to trade :haha:
By the way....I just saw you had a question on the first page concerning the mesh.....I got my mesh from an aluminum pencil holder....I know it might be too late...not sure if you glued yours in ...which would make this information totally useless lol

Terrific Job

Thanks for the info, alpha. The mesh has been glued already, but I'll be on the lookout for a similar aluminium pencil holder for future projects.

One last update before bedtime -

Modified the CITV so it can move. Like the CROWS, I used a LEGO tabletop piece to make it rotate. In the future, I hope to install a camera here as well as in the Gunner's Primary Sight (aka the doghouse in front of the TC's weapons station) and make the CITV rotate remotely. How I'd do that, I have no idea for now. Anyway the pix...

to ALPA- No your pic is of a M1A1 turret top which has no CITV mounted. You can also just see the edge of the small commanders copula next to the open loaders hatch..
to atcttge- The second bustle rack came out looking good. You will have to add a lot of stowage items to it to make it look like there was a need for it.
