Internal Antenna

Post by Jnewboy »

Has anyone ever built an internal antenna in their tank? Like a bunch of wire wound around a screw sort of thing. What works well and what does not?

As Tanker 242 says if you go to HENG LONG Builds and go back a couple of sub-pages you will find a number of builds using internal aerials BUT when a HENG LONG/TAIGEN 2.4 control board can be fitted for just a few £/$ to replace your existing board (and it is just a matter of swapping plugs, and throwing away the old aerial and fitting a dummy in the correct position), or if you spend a little more a Clark or IBU2 2.4 board why would you stay with a very limited 27 Mhz board and be faffing around with crystals?.shaun
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Hey Jboy... I did it twice using Helicopter antenna wire...hid one in the exhaust of a PanzerIII and one in the tool container of a KV...thing is 2.4 gig rigs are very accessible now...going that route would probably give you better performance
