Rivetcounters builds

Post by Rivetcounter »

The first model I had built in 25 years was a 1/35 Tamiya Tiger
Image
Then came a 1/25 Academy Panther A which was RCed  and had Zimmerit this was the first time I had used an air brush
Image
Then very shortly after came an Academy 1/25 Jagdpanther again with RC and Zimmerit
Image
Next as the bug bit hard came the first of a long line of 1/16 Tamiya’s this was a Tiger II this had working head lamp smoke and etched grills all when there wasn’t anything available for this tank
Image
Then came the late Tiger I with a full Aber PE kit and a lot of other scratch built parts
And a paint job that was amongst the first to be done and also started a line of Tigers painted from the same Abteilung
Image
Image
Then I got my hands on this Gepard and rebuilt it with turret rotation and gun elevation, sold it to a guy in London
Image
Then at the same time as the Gepard came the Stug IV one new the other second hand
The one with the skirts was new and was sold to a guy in Ulster the other was sold to a guy in Spain
Image
Image
I have also painted another Stug IV for Robert which he still has
Kubelwagen one for me and another for a mate of Robert both RC though mine has proportional RC
Image
Bought a very rare Pro models 1/15 Pak 40 for some reason I cant find any pictures of it pained sold this to a guy in the US
Image
Also had a Bandai Hummel sold, a Tamiya Sherman M4A3E8 sold, another Tamiya Sherman early clutch type sold, Verlinden Flack 88 sold, Verlinden Panther sold, two T34/85 sold another Tamiya Tiger II sold, Hen long Tiger I knackered gearbox
This is the Andrew Design SDKFZ 222 this was an assessment kit supplied by the importer
Image
Also have a Tamiya Sherman and Pershing the Sherman still needs finishing off after 2 years got no pictures of these yet.
This is a picture showing 2 of the 3 Dragon 1/6 Kubelwagens I have built with RC only 1 belongs to me
Image
And a 1/6 DID Kettenkrad built RC as a commission
Image
Second 1/6 Tiger that I have owned notice the camo pattern from the same abteilung, sold to a guy in France
Image
Last is the latest 1/6 Tiger that I’m working on which is far from finished
Image
There are a few other tanks that I have build or painted for friends but haven’t got pictures.

Absolutely fantastic builds!

If I had a collection like that I couldn't bear to sell any of them!

Buildings are just plywood cut painted and screwed together they can easily be dismantled and are strong they also have brick printed paper in places and the ones with a roof have printed tiles

Snow pictures where taken about 4 years ago, the Jagdpanther has the very rare Tamiya DMD and gearbox installed

Really nice tanks and such gorgeous paintwork too Rivet counter. Love the 1/6 Tiger hopefully I'll meet it in the "flesh" one day(I really am dead jealous of anyone who has a 1/6 tank lol.

Thanks for showing us these matey
