I have been looking at www.rctank.de with particular interest in PAINT MASKs,
I have never tried this form of decorating a Tank, has any one got a view as to whether it is better than decals or not?
And are there any tips to make it easier as well as more realistic?

Shaun, they work great. You'll want to use an airbrush that way you can control the amount of paint you put on in a single pass, you'll want to put it on very thinly so it doesn't bleed from under the stencil. Also they do not come with very good instructions so if you get a set for the 505th the knight and horse are a multi part stencil that is done in layers and you must do them in the correct order or its messed up. I really like their stencils myself and would be happy to help should you get them and need any.

Re: Paint Masks.
I've stopped using decals as the masks are infinitely better, only issue comes if masking really uneven bits but decals would struggle more.

Re: Paint Masks.
Right now There is a Tiger 1 body that is drying, having just been primered,
I have a set of "Elite" decals ready for it when the time comes BUT with such positive responses from all of you I shall be looking at www.rctank.de to see what exactly matches up to my plan.
Fortunately it will be a single colour "Dunkelgrau" from the "Barbarossa campaign serving with Abteilung 503,
I know that by saying that I have just put my boot into a hornets nest But it means I can save myself from doing all the research because you will be queuing up to tell me what I SHOULD be doing.
Thank you for yet again showing why this is easily the best Forum of like minded hobbyists out there.
Simon, Having walked into a self made hole in the ground after the first TEST I refuse to be tricked into making an even bigger fool of myself this time.
