Good Morning you lot,
:o) The box is from Sassgrunt in Hawaii. So, unless he got your Night Fighter Gear first, odds are poor that it's in the box. I'll do a check out w\ pics this afternoon after the shift is over. ;o)

Nothing in the Post today so I turned my attention back to the Deck. This unit of the build is one of the most time consuming as the most detail should be present here. Tonight, I worked on beginning the painting of the Pioneer tools and the mounts for them. Some things cannot be installed once painted until the electronics are under the hood ( so to speak ) but they can be prepped and ready to go when required. Pics:

I had considered making the aerial trough out of wood but decided to modify the one that came with the Taigen Pz III. It turned out very nicely.

Good Morning, Alpha,
Thank you, my Friend. Tools are always fun. I went with an Olive Grun to help pull them out a little from the sea of Panzer Grau that represents the main color on this vehicle. The mounts are in the same grey so Tri-Tone Tools. ;o) ( the wooden handled ones at least ) I'll add some wear on the edges and weather them with the rest of the paint. They are metal so a little file action gives a nice metallic sheen like they've seen some use. I was thinking that the deck will be upside down and anything sticking up like the jack mount or the aerial trough might break off. The trough needs to line up with the aerial anyway so I might add that piece to the casemate early to see where it goes.
regards,
Painless

Mornin', Ed,
Not at all. The local Rag is a combination of business adverts and the latest Holistic Health trends. Real news shows up every now and again. ;o)

Hey there Painless...I agree ...I like the advantage to the metal tools not having to paint the silver on....a little fine "draw" file action and the surfaces that should be silver become realistic in look...the best part is ...they age naturally so no real weathering needed :D
Did you buy PH brackets for yours?....I took GreenGiant's advise and made all of mine out of tin...salvaged from a Big sized can of Starbuck's Cap Mix :haha: ...the gauge was perfect...didn't even need shears to cut what I needed..just used a pair of heavy duty scissors :haha: ...pinned everything...it's the reason nothing fell off on the two falls
believe it or not...none of the tools on the L70 are glued lol...they are all held in place with pins :haha:
The most challenging were the cutters...shovel and axe :| ....You should have no trouble because you have a knack with your pin vise :D

Good Work Sir!

Keep it up!
