Sometimes leads technical changes also to a better behaviour in practice. I’ve decided me to use in this tank an ElMod Fusion Pro board. And of course I will use again servos for gun elevation and for gun recoil.
The old gun cradle was placed too far from the front plate; so that during negative elevation the gun mantlet lay down on the upper hull.
I’ve thought a while about my gun cradle und than I’ve began. The original gun mantlet/cradle was not possible to dismantle; both parts were glued together. This connection I’ve separated directly before the recoil unit.
For the new gun cradle was used a big brass tube were my gun mantlet together with the leading tube fits sucking. Two smaller brass tubes for the one half of the bearing; both parts were how to see together soldered.



A corresponding aluminum U-profile was cut out in the center and received bores at both sides for the brass tubes.



To these existing parts were added two bearing bolts (a continuous axle does not work because the muzzle flash) and corresponding ball bearings.



Followed by two brass plates, in these parts were later both half axles soldered and then together screwed to the aluminum U-profile; so hold both half axles their position and also the bearings are fixed.



And here another few pictures; also the little tube sleeves are going not through the big brass tube...







Afterwards was the cradle a bit more expanded because a King Tiger has an elevation from -8° till +17°; altogether will 25 degrees freedom of movement needed.





The gun cradle was then screwed against the front plate of the turret, a little advantage at a metal turret; the zimmerit coating at the outside will later again repaired.



The gun cradle was at this point still not useful because both servo brackets are still lacked. That's why was from 3 mm thick brass stripes cut out the half rounding’s from the guide tube and then soldered to the tube. In the background are already to see the soldered half axles.



The second half find her place; the little hole in the brass tube has a M3-thread; at the counter side is another one. There will be screwed headless screws to lock the guide tube/gun mantlet in the gun cradle.



As real bracket for gun recoil and servos I've used an Aluminum-angle; here already with the cutout for gun tube...



…and already mounted.



At this point it goes on next time, now shortly to the upper hull. I've used not the existing, because they had some unusable fixtures and I had still another one. This one then also rebuilt for the turret rotation ring of a Leo 2A6...



…the bracket for turret rotation motor was taken over and adjusted…



…and the whole mounted.



I will again install a slip ring for endless turning of the turret without problems with the cables; for that I must adjust the turret bottom. The existing hole in turret bottom was too small and was till sketched line expanded.
