Question about scratch building

Post by mike1268 »

Hello!

Never scratch built a tank before. Only reason im considering it is because I want a 1:16 Churchill. Where do people get their schematics from to get the sizes right? Also, what glue do you use for the plasticard ?

Hi Contact Flamme see post here http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/rc-tank ... layer.html
he has also built a crocodile, He casts his own tracks and sprockets .See here http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/rc-tank ... racks.html

he is also on this site http://www.forum-rc-panzer.com/index.php
you will probably be able to contact him easier on this site. He was thinking of doing a kit to build a Churchill not sure if he got round to it .

Chris is building a Churchill, not sure if he's selling it yet or not as a kit.

Mike his user name is Chris3 - see this post with notes on churchill. You could PM him and query how far the churchill has progressed. I suspect the biggest problem is likely to be the road wheels and suspension, because I wanted to build a churchill but fabricating the road wheels and suspension looked like too big a job! :|
