Just picked up this gem. Need some advise

So I picked this bad boy up today. Needs some TLC for sure but mostly there. Needing advise on a transmitter and speed controller. Would be nice to keep the stock internals but pretty sure they are past there prime. Would rather get it running with new updated electronics and machine a couple of new parts for it to get it back right and run able.

This is a 1/6 21st Century Toys M5 Stuart Tank. Hoping you guys on here can tell me whats missing and whats needed. Thanks in advance.

Nice Purchase!....Visibly it looks sound.. what I detect that is missing is the main gun lol...and the two outboard 30 cals ...external details can be done by googleing images... you can pretty much go as far as you want ...though you might keep in mind that many parts or bits will have to be scratch made

Best advise if you are going to RC it...strip out all the internals...reinforce the bucket with resin or aluminum...or both...then start the search for appropriate replacements... as far as motors are concerned ...another member here used electric drill motors ...and used an Elmod system to control it

Thanks for the reply. I do have the mini gun (if you will for the right side of the tank) just wasn't on for the pics. I also have the dart that loads in the main barrel. I willing to make all the parts needed, no problems there, but I would like to get it operational at least first. I'm pretty heavy into modifications and what not. Just need some guidance on a proper transmitter and ESC.

Look on the Driver side of the tank at the rear idler then on the opposite side and you will see where the rest of that arm fits on.

Hi.
I was looking at one of these at Duxford M.A.F.V. finals, The gentleman who owned it, bought it second as a RC mode. He has left the drive motor and gearbox in as stardard and said that he had owned it for just over 3 years and had no problem with them. He fitted twin 15amp ESC's in and runs them through a Futarbar 6 channel radio, the sound unit was from a truck and the turret was a small motor gearbox with a 3 amp esc and elevation on a servo. I think he had a 12v 20amp gel cell motorbike battery in it. All up weight was 26Kg. His only doubt was the tracks he said if you get an RC version they are okay. If you get the non RC version the tracks don't last.
I was very impressed it had a good turn of speed and control and on the grass at Duxford it certainly performed very well all day.
Lucky you I'm still looking for one of these as a project.

Nice. They are brilliant little tanks. Ive had two now and regretted letting them go.

As for Leccy I cheated. I installed a simple 2 channel controller and ran two Tamiya car speed controllers , 1 off of each track. Worked a treat if a tad slow.
