matorro sturmtiger

Post by jagman62 »

Hi,just acquired a matorro sturmtiger and was wondering if anyone knew how the large hatch on the roof opened on the real tank. The hatch at the moment just lifts off to put BB's in and I don't know if it should pivot or lift up.have been looking up pictures but non that I've seen show it open.

thanks for the very interesting pictures magman, food for thought on that hatch but it was the round hatch to the right at the back I was interested in.Looking at your pictures it may be bolted down with just a periscope in the middle.

thanks again for those excellent pictures.I think you are correct it does rotate & not open,oh well will have to put the soldier I have out of the rear hatch.I would not want to be the driver of a sturmtiger when they fired those huge shells next to my right ear.

The round hatch looks a bit like the one on the Jagdpanther. Perhaps it was also made to take a scissors periscope?
