I set up a website for the Bristol Armoured Division, well when I moved here two years ago I had a neighbour who was into helicopters big time, we both bought HL tanks for £50 each. That was how I started in the hobby.
After I moved, so did my neighbour, but then he had massive heart attacks (only mid forties) died six times on the operating table etc, and has had numerous ops since. I lost contact with him, but got an email this evening, as he had seen the website.
He has had to take disability retirement from British Gas, so has set up a business for RC trucks. This is the guy whose first port of call when he had probs with his pc was me (like so many of my friends...lol). He has secured a contract with a supplier and set up a site, and I have to say, he is selling some very tasty kit??

Re: Blooming heck
That Mercedes 6x6 kit is very nice looking.
Re: Blooming heck
Dave (Forgebear) recently got one of these Man 6x6 kits (MC6) and brought it to the Yorkshire Wartime Experience last weekend where I had a chance to look at it and drive it.
It is a very nice piece of kit and feels very sturdy. All though it is 1/10 scale and big it wasn’t stupid big, my Tamiya trailer (1/14 scale) is longer than this truck and that’s with out the tractor unit pulling it!
It drives great on rough terrain with nice soft grippy rubber tyres. In fact on the battlefield it ran flawless where some of the tanks run over the weekend suffered mechanical issues.
Only gripe I would say is the supplied speed controller didn’t have much slow end speed control, but that’s my own thoughts and sure given time I would get use to it or could change the speed controller which isn’t a complaint at the actual rc model.
Maybe Dave could comment on his build experience.
Dave asked me to install the supplied electronics into the MC6 truck for him, which I did but struggled with the confusing Chinese instructions. So a big thank you to Simon of Greens Models who even though was out at an event himself returned my call promptly and explained how to connect it up. So well done Simon top customer support.
I’m now saving my pennies.

Re: Blooming heck
Hi Ian its fitted with a 45t motor if you went to 80t it would be a lot better at slow speed,if all your running is off road it would be better to change the motor. Have to agree it looks nice and worked well shame its a bit over scale for 1/16 .
