KV 1 track removal

KV 1 track removal

Need to get the drive sprockets off & the gearboxes out, but can't get the tracks off. Help!

hi RobW have you try`d removeing one of the track pins, or just lifting the track & turning the sprocket until the track comes off, tanker 242.

I take the drive wheel off first.

If it's the plastic hull you need to remove the plastic bracket (mud scraper) which sits in between the front and back of the drive sprocket. Then undo the drive sprocket, hold tracks off the sprocket teeth, pull front half of sprocket off then you would be able to remove the track.

If it's the metal hull, remove the front idler wheel and shaft.

Thanks. Finished up taking the gear boxes out.... On the plus side now I know why they're loose!

How do I get the front (non driven) wheel off? May need to strip the chassis down.

It's just screwed on so small screw driver which will fit hole and unscrew.
