Lipo charger help

Post by billpe »

So I'm buying some LiPos, not for a tank but for a Axial Yeti XL, which takes two identical 2S or 3S lipos in parallel. Will be getting something like several pairs of 2S 6500 mAh 65C batteries. However I need a charger that can do two or more batteries at once.

I've had http://electriflyer.co.uk/icharger-306b/ recommended too me as it seems to do everything and can charge several batteries at once. Any tips/suggestions on other chargers?

That looks like it would work really nicely but I don't see a Deans port :(. I wonder if I could covert some cables over but that sort of thing makes me nervous!

BILLPE Hi, If you go to E-BAY and search for li-po batteries, one of the suppliers is called "STOCKROOM 2012" And I buy my LI-POs from them and the attraction is that whatever battery you want, they give you a list of different connectors and you click on the connector you want and at no extra cost your battery will come with that fitting.
As to connectors fitting your charger anyone who flies R/C A/C will almost certainly have a box of different adapters they use to hook up to their batteries,This allows them to shop around for the cheapest battery and it means you will have in your box an adapter that fits your charger. shaun
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

I'd consider switching but the ESC is Deans and I don't want to invalidate the warranty on a 200 quid ESC but switching the connectors.

As mention, needs to be Deans as that is what the ESC uses and would invalidate the warrenty should I change them. If the cables on the charge can be cut safely that is a different option.

Ended up buying a charger from them but they didn't have the right size lipos (dimension wise! They have a couple of nice 2S batteries but too large but would be good for tanks) I needed. Quite reasonable prices.

I have learnt more from this Forum then a stack of reference books could teach me and on a broad swathe of subjects, so perhaps we should rename the Forum "The University of the WWW"
There has to be a government grant in it and perhaps a company car! :haha: shaun
