ww2 pow Eden camp Malton Yorks

Post by tiger tiger »

I recently visited this former english pow camp for German pow in ww2, it has an array of armour, artillery pieces , half tracks , armoured scout car and 2 ride on english mini subs with the detachable warheads, in the huts the former barracks are numerous displays , at the entrance is a full scale replica spitfire and hurricane. i took some pics which may be of interest.

its well worth a look around an awful lot in a small space really, suprising how small the camp was.

Very cool pictures. Looks like they keep the paint up to snuff to protect everything even though it's outside.

Great looking site with so many different vehicles. I wish that in the US everything wasn't so spread out that going to look at things makes you spend days of travel to view such stuff. When they moved everything out of Aberdeen Proving Grounds they ruined the best places to see All kinds of armor in one place.

Good Morning,
Amazing display! I love how everything is fresh and has it's period correct accessories, right down to the heavy trailer. What an utterly cool place to go spend a day. Thanks a ton for the picture tour!

Went a few years ago now.

It was worth a visit then, but looks even better now.
