M4 addtional turrret armour
Some m4 have additional armour welded to the right front side of the turret. How about the left side? Googled pictures, but cant find any with add on armour on left side

That armor plate was added on some Sherman's because of a thin spot in the turret casting when hydraulic traverse was added to manual traverse turret castings. That weak spot was corrected in later cast turret castings and the added exterior plate was no longer needed.
