New at everything!

Post by Tigerjim »

Hi I'm Jim and as you can tell from my imaginative user name, I'm building a tiger! Only problem is I'm new to tanks, and very new to rc, so I don't know much and what I do know is only what I've managed to gleam from forums, so I look forward to reading your posts and improving my knowledge!

Cheers Jim

Welcome Jim, feel free to ask any question ( not matter how silly you feel they are, we were all novices once!) and don't forget pictures along the way :-)

If the Germans had as many Tiger as are running around on this forum alone we'd ALL be speaking German right now! :haha:

Thanks for the warm welcome :D , I know what you mean about the Tiger, I would love to get a British tank but I can't seem to find any that are in my price range, and I'm not so much a fan of shermans, and the tiger. . . .well the tiger is a tiger who doesn't like them!, I'll put some pictures of my build up soon as I figure out how to post them! And when I figure out how my tx works it's causing me to lose hair at the moment, reckon I've bitten off more than I can chew!

Welcome along Mr Jim
Think of this one like an entre...........you get a taste for it, then you get the main meal which normally is a big chew !!
Cant go wrong with a Tiger 1. Plenty of info, pictures and variants to choose from, loads of aftermarket parts to soak your disposable income up, and , well, they are just real tough-ass tanks to look at ;)
Please tak some time to look through the many pages of other builds.
There are ideas and tecniques to burn, and some real masterpieces to behold.

Please ask away, everyones happy to help where they can

Hi Jim, welcome. I hope you enjoy your tank, whether it's driving it, moding it or using it in battle. There is plenty to keep you busy. Have fun.
Tiger 1. KV1, T34/85 and PkzIII all by Heng Long, painted and moded by me. It's fun and tricky stuff.
