Re: new addition
Stugie,
That is one of the best looking HL Porsche Tiger II paint jobs that I have seen...one great looking tank! I exhort you to do a little zimmerit and detail that one. It is a winner.
regards,
Painless
P.S. don't forget the idler wheel adjuster\brace for the back of the hull from Guido's Henntec line.

Re: new addition
How much upgrading do you want to do? Mine started out like yours and is now a $1000+ 20 lb beast.

Re: new addition
I think on these early model KT's zimmerit is a must.
Re: new addition
The polish zimmerit is not too hard to put on but is pricey. I forget who makes it but its about $60 US. It comes with a whole new mantlet and rear turret and is pretty impressive. So if you choose to go with zimmerit that's the kind you'd probably want. If not, remember they quit putting zimmerit on the panzers in October 1944, so just change the paint scheme for late war (which it looks like it is already).
For really necessary upgrades, 2.4 ghz radio is an absolute must. A powerful battery is too, to push those huge tracks - they're heavy! Also, at some point you may want to add the henntec track tensioner if the tracks have issues with coming off - or just drive it more slowly.
I just added these new bearing gearboxes from heng long store, to my panther G. They are $60 for the grade wwith the blue motors, $50 for non blue motors (not sure what the difference is) but i think these gearboxes are worth it, for a heavy tank such as this. These gearboxes are very smooth and powerful too.
