Buldog

Post by mickyb »

Hi guys,  just looked at Howes models site and nopticed they have a Buldog for £65 but it does not have smoke and sound....but has metal gears and tracks.

Am I daft in thinking that  the extra £10 you pay for the s & s, is for HL fit a speaker and smoker? The spec seems to be the same as the s&s one . I have a speaker, and don't want the smoke.....the rcvr card and RX13 or 14 should do the same job shouldn't it.....I have plenty of transmitters too.

I want a Buldog with proportional speed and sound....will this one be ok if I fit a speaker??????

Mike...

hi mike
it seems a good deal howes are offering, but if you use a rx13 or rx14 you will need the reciever board also, cheap enough on ebay. the non S & S board is all in one

No the RX 13 and 14 are much better boards that give you proportional speed control.  The one that comes in the non S&S is basically, really on, and then off.  As TIger 205 mentioned, best thing is to rip out the electronics and upgrrade to the Rx 14, or RX 18 for that matter.

You'll also need the S&S transmitter.

The difference in the S&S tank----The transmitter has the ability to have 5 or 6 different chanels buy changing out the crystals, there are two boards instead of just one like in the NON-S&S,a speaker, the smoker unit, sound (cannon fire, machine gun, engine start up,engine running, and the machine gun flashing led light )Flashing head lights until engine start, after start lights remain lit.A whole lot better control of your tank.----A graphic difference between the too.
