looks to be all or nothing on the steering and the speed, still it will be a good start to a proper conversion

EL-Mod are working on a halftrack version of their system, that should cure the problem 
Also Bullyhys over in Southern Cal has had considerable sucess with halftracks - see some of the Blitz's vids on youtube. To quote an old advert "The future is bright!"
