Track recoil is not turned on and I put my over weight KT on a diet by removing the metal turret for a plastic one instead. I had got the plastic Heche turret from Forgebear and thought it would be cool to have a metal one instead but that pushed the tank to 22 pounds, now that it's removed it's under 20 which shouldn't be an issue any more.
I just need to time the main gun and find out what's up with the #4 switch and the lipo voltage monitoring. As long as the normal voltage monitoring at 6 volts won't kill my brand new $60 battery I'll just run it flipped for a non lipo battery.

I love your comment, 'it's now under 20lbs so it shouldn't be a problem anymore'

Wibbly that Lowe is real nice! 150.1 that is geared VERY Lowe!
To me that might be a little too slow if thats running full power unless he has some HUGE hills he's running on. Unrelated to the gearing the way his tracks looks just like my KT so I must be doing something right.
Right now we're just waiting to hear from the manufacturer about the #4 switch and why it doesn't seem to be working. So long as they tell Ian it'll be safe to run the tank with the lipo protection turned off because it shuts off at 6 volts and that a dip to 6 volts won't hurt my brand new $60 battery then I'll just run it with the way it is now and enjoy it. I just don't want to A. hurt the electronics in any way and B. hurt the battery either.

Re: IBU2 frustration
My friend Scalawag formerly of this board mentioned switch #7 is to be set to OFF for a 2 cell lipo and ON for a 3 cell and guess what mine was set to? Yuppers it was set to ON and it wasn't set by me!
However my instruction manual says #7 switch is "Reserved" and says nothing about it being for 2 or 3 cell lipo batteries I checked and read all the way through it and nothing. So I flipped #7 to OFF and #4 to ON and guess what again? Why thats right my tank fired right up! I then shut it right down until I get conformation back from Tankbear that this is in fact correct and its fine to run it this way as I don't want to fry it.
But this has me scratching my head because according to Scalawag this should be for the IBU2 PRO which I didn't think I had gotten, I thought I had the standard one. And if I did get the pro version whats up with the instruction/owners manual? If it turns out the manual is wrong this will be the 2nd error I've found so far! The posistion of the left stick to start the tank is mirrored as to what the manual says and now this? I understand everyone makes mistakes but good grief this is frustrating!

Yep that's all correct and I'm surprised as the use of 3 cell LiPo is suppose to be a Pro only feature, so a gold star for finding out something I didn't know.
Regarding the manual, I updated the manual a few weeks back and posted a link in the forums electronics section to my download page.

Now one manual for both Base and Pro versions,
Updated information for connecting to Taigen tanks,

Re: IBU2 frustration
I guess you can add this error to your list.
I'm just glad its working now and I can get on to timing the gun properly.

Re: IBU2 frustration
did you manage to fix this, I had the same thing with an 2.4ghz board, it turns out I had a loose connection on my switch, and it would turn off when I hit a bump.
rctankelectrics set mine up for my tiger, and its great! I can drive the wife mad with the German male voice choir!

Problem all solved, tank needed more power. Then it turns out a switch was incorrectly set from the factory and once discovered and corrected the tank runs fantastic.
