Re: Did more 24th March ..T29E3 ..hull almost done ?

Post by wibblywobbly »

I am sat here with a strange and uncontrollable smile on my face and staring...and thinking...how on earth is this man getting all of this done so quickly, and so well.

I am really looking forward to seeing this completed, it is going to be a gem!

What I'd like to know is can I borrow your time machine because there is no other explanation for how so much detailed and painstaking work can be done in so short a time! ;D ;D This is an amazing build and I am awestruck (and jealous) every time I look at how it's progressing. Really brilliant. Alwyn

Hi all

Oh the best layer plans of mice and men ....The plan was do sit down over the weekend
And start the turret ... bright and early Saturday morning got up nice pot of coffee on the go
Picked up the plans to have a quick check and bosh ....dragged off to the garden ctr
..Saturday afternoon was also knackered ..chucking non eat able flowers and things in the garden
Saturday gone .,,,gerrrrr
Tried again Sunday morning ...nope ..off to car boot sale ...followed by Sunday lunch
And then invaded by my sister and her kids Sunday almost gone and not any plastic card cut

So in desperation I sat an wait her till her in doors sat down to watch poldark at last peace n quiet

And here what I managed to do ..We went to bed silly late.....3 am ish .....

Any way ..pics .....

Hi there Wibbley

The coffee sticks are used to help create a surface for glueing plastic card to a complex curve
It also adds strength to the lower turret ..i will also use to on the turret sides ..as the wood can be
Sanded to shape after glueing ...time will explain how and why ...
