Anybody got tips on how to apply them ??? I've just trashed a set intended for my Pz3 - they fell apart as soon as they came off the backing paper! >:(

Spray them with a couple of coats of clear gloss while on the sheet and let them dry overnight. I use Deft. Helps the stay together.

No, It is a rattle can you can get at OSH or True Value. Get the gloss. I use it to restore the cabinets of my Pre war radios.  Test it on a piece before you do the whole thing. I had a bad reaction only once. From what I have been told their flat is the same as dullcote. I am going to check it out and if that's the case you get 3 times more for the same price.

Thanks for the tips!
I'll try a coat of Kleer to smooth the surface out before I apply them and spray whats left of the sheet with a dilute coat to try to hold them together.
I know that the likes of Airfix etc are a good deal more thicker, but I've never had decals fall apart like that before ???
Practice makes perfect, eh? ;)

For what it's worth, I had a set of aircraft decals fall apart on me in a similar way many years ago. Some time later I mentioned the problem to an elderly gentleman who ran a local hobby store at the time. He said the problem usually only happened if the sheet was exposed to high heat or humidity for an extended period of time. This causes the backing to expand just enough that hairline cracks are formed in the transfer, which cannot keep up with the expansion. Very hard to spot until to start working with them.

Regards,

David
