HL Molded Detail Removal

Post by mike1268 »

Hi,

Got my HL stug through. Its a lot of tank for what you pay. First thing I want to do though is remove the nasty molded shovel, axe etc. Whats the best was without making a mess of it. My first thoughts are to grind them off with a dremel grinding wheel.

How have you guys removed these or do you just leave them ?

You can use a dremel tool just don't grind it all the way down, finish up with an xacto knife and sand paper. Plan on repainting. Just be careful and take your time.

Mike Hi, The very first thing you must do is get a roll of DUCK (DUCT) TAPE,and a pair of sharp scissors.
Cut out around each item that you wish to remove, cut out a piece of DUCK tape and apply it to the area.
Do make sure it is tight up to the item you are removing
Then you are free to Dremel, cut, chisel and file to your hearts content.
Do make sure you use DUCK tape NOT MASKING TAPE,
 shaun
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:
