I love the look of his kits, everything looks so crisp and clean cut. It will be interesting to see how this build goes, I have a feeling that there are going to be a few tankers weeping with envy!
Tried several options, Tiger, custom, Trumpeter T34-76 wheels(almost perfect) and even almost blew my budget for the build, came a click away from ordering Christians metal wheelset - sooo nice!!!
Decided on late T-34 wheels, machined out rib, backfilled with a 0.5mm disc, used a oring for the sidewall step, domed washer and a moded t34 hub.
I'll post pics when I come to do the actual wheels for this build.

Started on some of the detailing on the upper hull and turret whilst waiting for my suspension parts.
Lower hull machine gun mount and side hatch came out nice, parts are so precise! MG ring and hatch hinge are the first parts I've had to take a file to, and only then to get the cosmetic look correct

Now for the suspension solution. Decided to use the torsion spring system from a Tiger - needs a bit of cutting and splicing.
Final system will use metal tiger one suspension arms with the spring torsion adjusted to give a softer suspension. Standard Tiger I think is too hard giving unrealistic arm movement.

Donor chassis looking worse for wear, removed suspension bosses.

Bosses tided up and spliced into the lower hull side walls. The UHU plast I'm using gives a great bond, experimented before and the suspension mounting post broke before the joint gave way. I reinforced the rear of the joint with some 3mm poly strip, over kill, but rock solid now.
Taking my time to give a perfect alignment on both sides.

Looking great...my talents aren't up to suspension mods like that is there another way? I might need to lower my sights a little lol

Thanks, getting there. Now I have the suspension resolved the lower hull should proceed fairly quickly now.
I just like the idea of using torsion springs contained under the suspension arms - this was the easiest solution I could think of. Chris uses a extension spring system in his build instructions, again using Tiger 1 suspension arms, this requires no cutting of the chassis - only a couple of holes to be drilled and a simple mod to the suspension arm!
