Some more progress on the m50. Built up the Jerry can holder, added some pe mesh. Also finished the side stowage, and added some of the sherman detail sprue bits and all the lighting.

Hey Stevie, there's a few sources, some bits are 3d printed, some are taken from the e sprue from the Tamiya super sherman. Turrets from a Tamiya 105 sherman, Jerry can holders (and cans) are from axles (schumo), there's a bit of scratch building too.

Finally managed to pull my finger out and get some more done on this, been gathering parts to finish it (new periscope guards and oils for the bogies). Something that was greatly lackzing was the big whip antenna IDF tanks seem to employ. Made some out of a thin spring and the Tamiya part off the e sprue.

I'm still not 100% happy with the cupola so may replace with the Mato metal one, or build up another I got from Woz.

Well I'm try to pull my finger out to get this project moving. I was never happy with the inaccurate turret bustle, it was straight where it should be rounded. Other things done are adding periscope guards, I've rebuilt the hatch so the periscope spins now. I've added the schumo oilers too. I've also done some work on the muzzle break and added some
welds.

Really starting to look near completion with great attention to detail.
May I suggest that with all the detail work you put into it that you add a small flexible piece of thin wire insulation ( with the wire removed ) inside the small springs you have the antennas top and bottoms attached to represent the wire that a real antenna has inside.

Hey folks, I've been a bit remiss in updating my build thread. Here's the first progress update. I'm pleased to say the m50 is now ready for paint. I've done a fair bit, chains on the smoke launchers, casting marks, rebuilt exhaust, some more detail on driver and radio mans hatches, added the tools and took holders, cast effect on the turret, added search light with built in IR emitter, mantlet cover, mantlet detal and probably some more I have forgotten.

With all that fine detail one thing stand out. The head and tail light guards are the original overly thick plastic ones.
Any thought of replacing them?
