UPS screwed me.

Post by jackalope »

You all know UPS really damaged Palepainters Tiger and I had a claim in with them well the check finally came in, $138 to pay for the damage they did. Weird amount if you ask me, I paid $300 for the tank plus the shipping and somehow they came up with $138 is what the damage is worth. Broken lower hull, chipped zim coating, broken turret mantel, and broken exhaust is worth $138? The replacement parts cost more then that!

I was going to call Monday and raise hell with UPS but like Mike said it probly won't do any good. So at least I got something out of them towards fixing it. :eh:

So for everyone wanting to buy a custom built one of a kind tank you may want to consider shipping it ANY other way then with UPS.

Now to get the rest of the parts to fix my Tiger.

Don't you have the parts now Terry with all that surplus Tiger stuff I sent? I look forward to seeing what you do with all of it. UPS has been a very big disappointment.

90%. I want to get a set of black steel gearboxes for it. I already have the original tank from you, the metal lower, and for it I got a set of early metal road wheels, and metal idler wheels and the tracks I got from you. I'd like to get either a 2.4 gig set up for it or maybe an IBU2 setup. Then its just a matter of getting the IR set up.

I've spent a LOT on this hobby in the past few months so any time I can use money that the wife doesn't see as coming out of the household income the better! :haha:

The surplus Tiger parts will go into building another 1 or maybe 2 Tigers later this summer.

HAHAHA. I can totally relate. One of my tactics is to paint most of them the same color so she gets confused. She doesn't know a Sherman from a Panther.
