I thought the whole problems was that you're /not/ charged on the postage, so it's cheaper to sell something for Â£1 with Â£9 postage than it is to sell it for Â£9 with Â£1 postage.

Yep but sellers can be reported if they're abusing the system.

Ebay don't take fees out of P&P but Paypal do.

Also I note that the original poster lives in Ireland, well it's bloody expensive to post stuff to Ireland yet Northern Ireland is a lot cheaper.

oh well at least I think I was partially right, aren't pay pal owned by ebay or is it the other way round

Yes Paypal is owned by Evilbay. I don't know about there, but here in the States you can now only pay with Paypal. No checks or money order. Another way for a captive audience. $$$$$$$$$$$ I predict slow death for the bay.

yes i was notified by a friend and fellow US seller on Ebay about the Paypal only option hense ive commissioned my own web site to sell products. here customers are free to pay with whatever method that suits them.

It will be soon im looking end of FEb for launch its being built as we speak, so i will need a time to check it out and make alterations. Also will post on here when up as i will need peoples feedback etc, and critisims
