hi all just picked up an old hl tiger 1 still in its box unused, thought it would be a good start point for me in rc tanks, its the basic model no smoke , sound or recoil, looking to upgrade it and add some better scale detail, my first job is to replace the tx/rx can anyone reccomend a source for a complete 2.4ghz kit, i would also like to install a recoil unit do i need a new gun barrel / mantlet?
grateful for any help/tips anyone has
thanks
John

Hi Johnb welcome to the forum and I am sure you will get all the help you need. Try Tankbear on this forum for an IBU2 board, I think he is also doing a special on a 2.4g transmitter/receiver/ibu2 fully configured which could be a great start for your rebuild. If you PM him he will, I am sure, be able to assist. Happy tanking Alwyn

Good Morning,
Welcome to the Forum! A good first step ( if you haven't done this already ) would be to research some of the previous and ongoing Tiger builds here on the Forum. Enjoy and post pictures of your work, please.

Hi try forgebear on ebay great seller and forum member, for the turret i would go for the taigen metal turret which comes with recoil andir fitted and the high intensity flash, it also comes with wiring loom to adapt to hl standard tiger 1. only wiring mod needed is to hook a feed into one of the main battery leads. i think you can also get same turret in plastic too from taigen, well worth thinking about.
