That's the best way to do things Joe, are you marking this up as a specific Tiger or are you doing your own creation?

No, nothing in particular. Just trying to learn some painting and modeling skills from those of you who have done it before. I welcome all of the feedback I can get.

Thank you sir, the mesh and metal tools are on their way to me from the UK. Thank you for the compliment.

A lovely job especially on the excess Aerial stowage tube,I have to tell you a lot of the detail I put on my Tanks even I have difficulty seeing, BUT I know it is there, and when a fellow Tank hobbyist points out the detail it gives me one h*ll of a warm glow.
Did you order a new Aerial when you ordered the other bits and pieces? if not there is a choice between the Multi-piece ABER or the single piece SCHUMO I have tried both and I reckon the SCHUMO is the better of the two but that is only my opinion,
I am loving the work you are doing, By the way both ARCHER in the USA and PEDDINGHAUS in Germany, apart from making ready made Decals for both Allied and German armour also do bespoke work on request, so if you have a particular tank in mind tell them and they will happily do the work.   shaun
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Thanks for the kind words Shaun. To answer your question, no, I did not order an Aerial. I thought I'd look around at some and see if I could make one. I will take a look at the ABER and SCHUMO however.

Joe if you do get the SCHUMO Aerial you will see that it is a long piece of steel bent at the base ending in a loop, there is nowhere near the aerial base on the underside of the Tank body to fix it, This is my fix, I cut a lump off the end of an old Toothbrush, pin viced a small hole in the centre then using a washer and a self tapping screw, I held the loop against the base of the plastic lump with the shaft of the aerial running up the side of the plastic lump, placed the washer over the loop and screwed the self tapper in place, then I pushed the Aerial through the hole in the aerial base with a liberal smear of CA on the opposite side of the aerial loop to hold the whole assembly in place on the underside of the Tank body. shaun

My photo etch grills and tools arrived from Welsh Dragon today. This will be my first attempt at both. I'll paint the tools before installation, but what about the grills? Do you paint them before or after installation? They are just sitting in place for effect for now.
